Local runners hit high miles in low temps
Many of the area’s local Olympic Marathon qualifiers have headed to training camps in warmer weather for the remainder of the month to put in their final preparations for the US Olympic Marathon Trials in Los Angeles next month. Meanwhile local runners fought freezing temperatures this weekend to get in their long runs to prepare for the Los Angeles marathon the day after the trials. When Marc Bromberg and Bobby Stuckey started their 23 mile “empty the tank” run it was 6° and by the time they finished the temps had risen to a “warm” 28°.
Bret C. Stevens captured a few of the Hudson Elite squad putting in some quality time on the backroads of Boulder.
