The Continental Divide Trail Coalition presents an Evening with Scott Jurek on Wednesday night, January 27 from 5:30 to 9:30. The event will be held at the American Mountaineering Center, Foss Auditorium in Golden, CO.
World-renowned ultramarathon champion, author and Speed Record holder for the Appalachian trail, Scott is also known and admired for his earth-conscious lifestyle, Jurek will be sharing his philosophy on everything from how to get the most out of your training, sharing diet tips, and maybe even share a few stories from his 2015 journey along the Appalachian Trail.

Scott Jurek is a world-renowned ultramarathon champion and the former 24-hour American record holder (165.7 miles – 6 1/2 marathons in one day) who trains and races on a plant-based diet. He is the author of the New York Times bestseller Eat and Run: My Unlikely Journey to Ultramarathon Greatness and has prominently appeared in the bestsellers Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Superathletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen and The 4-Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman. Please join us as we welcome Scott to the Foss Auditorium stage in the American Mountaineering Center in an evening celebrating our Nation’s Long Distance Trails and one of the worlds greatest ultrarunners; all while supporting the National Scenic Trail in our own backyard, the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail.
The event will include a meet and greet before and after with Scott, and enjoy snacks and beverages as part of the evening. There will be door prizes with amazing gear raffles and goodie bags from Clif Bar, Ultimate Direction, and Brooks Running, as well as Backpackpers Pantry, Salazon Chocolate, and beverages will be povided by AC Golden Brewing CO.
