The Heart and Sole Half, 10k and Colorado Corporate Challenge are now part of the Downtown Race Series.

Join companies and runners from all over Boulder and Broomfield Counties for the 7th Annual Colorado Corporate Challenge 10k Run on Sunday June 29, 2014. Companies join together with teams of 3 or more to compete against one another for the coveted Corporate Challenge Cup. The CCC will be held in conjunction with the Heart and Sole Half Marathon and 10k which will start and finish in downtown Boulder on 14th Street adjacent to the Lazy Dog Saloon.

The race used to be held in the Colorado Technology Center in Louisville as an 8k, but after an invite from Boulder Chamber member and avid runner John Tayer, race director Craig Mintzlaff had no hesitation.

“We are excited to move the race from the CTC to downtown Boulder and looking to see more runners out at the race this year” stated Mintzlaff. “There are not many outdoor corporate events held in Downtown Boulder and this will be a rare opportunity to have both established businesses and many of the new companies in Boulder compete and network at the same time.”

Freeman Myre, a Property Management Service, will continue to be the main sponsor and with the move to Boulder, the race picked up a few new supporters including The Boulder Chamber of Commerce, The Boulder Economic Council and Boulder County Business Report.

Corporate Challengers will run the same 10k course as the Heart and Sole from downtown, up Broadway, Iris and back through town, but those who sign up for the Corporate Challenge will be awarded with a different shirt, bib, their own sponsors and goodie bag.

There will be three divisions: Men, Women, and a combined Men and Women. The Top 3 from each team score for a total time. Companies can field as many teams as they like.

No ringers please, all runners must be verified full-time, part-time or contractors with that company.
