Great opportunity to run a cross country race in downtown Denver. The course is a 2km grass loop in Wash Park. Men & Women will run at the same time, but women will be diverted to the finish after three laps (6k) and men will run four laps (8k)
Marathon morning is usually full of preparation, jitters, butterflies and nervousness for runners. All those months of training leading up to the big day. I was hoping to run in the Marathon today, but due to my recent injury, I instead committed to riding the lead bike for the Half Marathon Women’s race.
Colorado’s Premier Marathon, the Denver Marathon, Half Marathon and ING Relay just took it up a notch. Today it announced the re-branding of this event to align with the Competitor Group’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series for 2010. But that doesn’t mean this year won’t be the biggest to date.
Colorado’s race directors, event planners, and resident running stars converge at the Westin Hotel, Westminster the weekend of October 23-25 for the first-ever Regional Athletic Conference for Events. The first year event, produced by Endurance Sports Marketing group, is directed at Colorado’s ever-expanding list of event and race directors, offering them the opportunity to meet with and attend lectures by key players in the event industry.
