While rain and snow plagued high altitude races this weekend, cooler temperatures made for ideal running conditions for the Boulder Backroads Marathon, Half-Marathon and 10k this morning at the Boulder Reservoir.
The two-loop Boulder Backroads marathon course was covered in 3:06:51 by Oliver Cunningham of Denver, CO the male winner of the 26.2-mile distance. Sandra Currie of Highlands Ranch, CO was the first female and 3rd overall with a time of 3:21:38.
Ben Zywicki of Louisville, CO took charge of the half-marathon course in 1:11:30 while Kelly Escorcia of Centennial, CO ran 1:29:39 for the top female spot.
The 10k was Lafayette’s Olympic Marathon Qualifier Sean Quigley’s first race back since spring. He ran 32:21 for the win. Shannon White of Boulder,CO was third overall running 39:55 for the female title.
