“We are so excited for this second Colorado chapter” said Alexandra Weissner, co-founder of bRUNch Running. “There is a very strong running community and craft food scene in Boulder, which makes it a perfect location for a bRUNch chapter.”
bRUNch Running launched in Denver last April and has since expanded to Phoenix, Ariz. The Boulder chapter will visit 18 Boulder County area restaurants throughout the six month season. The group offers both five-kilometer and ten-kilometer runs each week. The fun continues back at the restaurant with the ultimate brunching experience and post-run chatting.
bRUNch Boulder will be bRUNching at the following restaurants:
- April 27 – Dushanbe Teahouse
- May 4 – Aji Restaurant
- May 18 – Centro Latin Kitchen
- June 1 – Beehive Restaurant
- June 8 – Radda Trattoria
- June 15 – Zolo Grill
- June 22 – Chautauqua Dining Hall
Dushanbe Teahouse is the group’s first stop. The group will run along the Boulder Creek Path heading west to Scott Carpenter Park and looping back to the restaurant. Upon return bRUNchers will enjoy an-inclusive brunch with entree choices including the Greek Scramble and Pan Perdue, and rehydrating with Bloody Marys, beer and coffee.
“The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is always seeking opportunities to enhance community events and create a cultural experience through our menu, with an emphasis on hospitality,” said Matthew Kiefer, manager at Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse.
