Dash & Dine 5k gets a fresh start in 2017
The Dash & Dine 5k, Boulder’s favorite Spring tune-up race series has a new owner for the 2017 season. The series, put on by Without Limits Productions for the last 6 years has been purchased by Todd Straka a long time Boulder resident.
“Over the last 6 years we’ve truly enjoyed our spring time Tuesday nights as we watched many of you run your first 5k, watched some capture a new PR, and over these years many of you have become friends. But all good things must come to an end.” – Lance and Tony Panigutti of Without Limits Productions stated in their email announcement this week.
The series of six races held in April and May at the scenic Boulder Reservoir has been a favorite for local runners looking to race themselves into shape before the Bolder Boulder 10k and summer racing. Straka is no stranger to the race, as he has been a long time participant over the many years.
“I have always enjoyed taking part of this local race series over the years and believe it’s one of the best spring events in our area. At its core, it has a strong, vibrant, supportive community of runners not afraid to take on a little spring weather now and again, to test our fitness and celebrate our accomplishments along the way.”
Straka added, “I am excited about the opportunity to carry on the Dash n’ Dine tradition that Tony, Lance and the Without Limits team fostered and passionate about building on that tradition. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you, a wide range of runners from seasoned to beginners alike, to share in your story and celebrate with you each week.”
Todd Straka is also the owner of BoulderRunning.com and co-Publisher of the first ever Boulder Running Journal, a celebration of all things running in Boulder.
