Good seeing you yesterday morning. Hope we can run together soon.

  2. Removals London says:

Nice. Snazzy way of looking at it!

  3. world politics says:

Very informative. Very enlightening. Thanks for posting…

  4. George Zack says:

These are some great trails for the east end of town. I end up looping from Westminster over by Stanley Lake all the way out to i-25. Good stuff.

  5. George Zack says:

Love to hear what your take was on some of those forums.

    1. BoulderRunner says:

I would be happy to share.

I’ve been considering writing up a few notes to post here on the topics I went to: Marketing for Women, How to Leverage Social Media, Alt. Ways Events Can Make Money, Working With Your Retailer.

In conversations I had with attendees, topics we thought would be great for discussion would be “New Race Director 101. The essential checklist.”

“Planning a Great Race Course” could be another great topic. Perhaps after the race they could invite the public to an open forum with the race directors.

One last comment is about a missed opportunity in which they could have introduced the “Stars” before the race. I knew many of the folks there personally and some by name. But even by name, I didn’t recognize them in person.

  6. kchealy says:

I really enjoy this trail…I do most of my long runs there since there's an access point only a couple of miles from my house. You will have to share the path with some bikers, but the trail is rarely crowded so this isn't a problem. In fact, the only times the trail can seem a bit crowded is when there is a race being held on it.

One word of caution: this trail can get pretty hot in the summer since it's not well-shaded!

  7. George Zack says:

Todd – are you joining us for the basic or are you doing speed with the masters guys tomorrow.

Barefoot in the snow, eh? You win.

    1. BoulderRunner says:

Probably neither. Booooo Kids stuff, etc plus a well needed massage scheduled, and its been a while, so I gotta get that in. After my “scouting” run on Thurs, its gonna be wild ride at the Basic. Bringing a camera??

  8. Brandon Fuller says:

If we get it, I say we all go out there that day and do crazy stuff to get captured eternally.

  10. Chronic Pain Books says:

I have not tried the cold laser but it seems quite safety and convenient because it does not use any drugs. There are painkillers which can reduce pain to some extent but are likely to have adverse effect on a person.

I love the fall, best season by far. Last year when I ran CIM, I arrived in Sacramento (early December) and it was like fall all over again, leaves still changing colors, etc.. I assume that the leaves in Sacramento change about 4-5 later than they do in Colorado, it was great.

We must have almost crossed paths (again). I finished my second ascent just before 3:00. I love my Kahtoola's for BP (http://www.kahtoola.com/kts_aluminum.html) – my fastest descents are in the winter.

Oh, and I think you are describing the Fern Canyon trail – West Ridge goes west from the peak to the Bear Creek Trail. I'm pretty sure Fern Canyon goes all the way to the top on the route you describe.

Great pics, nice start to 2010!

  48. BoulderRunner says:

oh that *is* fantastic! Got some obligations in the morning around that time otherwise I would be out there testing the old legs. It would be an interesting benchmark compared to last year when I was fit.

  60. BoulderRunner says:

But then you should continue to run, and finish the test in 10:01 :) Sandrock had a great article in the @DailyCamera about trying to qualify for the “A” wave on the treadmill in 2008. http://bit.ly/b03CTb « (he did qualify at HQ) I think he had photos et all from the “event”. Great report! You were a few minutes in front of me. That last out/back was a bit grim. The out seemed worse than the back, however.

  80. JP says:

Couln’t agree with George more. Although, I put half the blame on me for not previewing the course and knowing it was there. I’ll never do another marathon (this was my first) without knowing the ins and outs of the final 10k. Man, can we bottle that weather and bring it with us to the next marathon? That was perfect!

into the lane as I was tying up and he said “relaz yo’ face man.” It was
funny. Later on I heard him talking to one of his college team mates. His team
mate got smoked in one of the heats and this guy said, “yuz were seeing nuthin’
but ass cheeks in that heat.” It was a crack up.

I was wondering if I could post an upcoming 5k on here, it’s June 25,2016. Called Eye Love Logan, it’s to benefit RDH12 genetic mutations that take the sight away from toddlers, making them progressively blind, until they have no sight left (which occurs late teens to early twenties). I don’t have a child who suffers from it, but my daughter has two friends in her class that are siblings, both have been diagnosed with it. One was born with it (Logan who just turned five), and his sister just got her diagnosis in February (she is two). Obviously this is hard for the mom, and because I used to do this in the military I took over while she attends appointments. If we can get enough people to come out (there will be food trucks, Monster Drinks, bands, a silent auction, face painting, balloon animals and much much more!!) we can send the majority of the kids in the world (less then 70) to clinical trials that are ready this fall. It’s a great cause to support! I hope to see some of you guys out there!!

    1. BoulderRunner says:

Hi Shawna, the BolderBOULDER just released their submission form for this year. “Qualifying races are any timed road race over two miles that posts results online. As a qualifying race, you agree to promote your event as a qualifier for the BolderBOULDER in at least two social media post on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. All qualifier races will be promoted on BolderBOULDER social media pages two weeks prior to your event as well as listed on the BolderBOULDER website.”
