The Boulder Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k events have been rescheduled for Sunday October 3, 2010.
As I opened up the mail box and scanned through the bigger ticket items, I was excited to see that amongst the mundane was this months issue of Running Times Magazine. On the cover was the age-defying Colleen De Reuck but also had plenty of other nuggets from other Boulder runners and contributers.
It seems in Boulder we have been waiting all year for it to snow. There have several false starts to our snowy season, but its been light at best. Until now. The social network has been all a twitter with updates about the snow. All the discussion was getting me pumped to get out.
With the deadline to mail in ballots for the Nov. 3 election nearing, it seems appropriate to pause and give a shout out to those far-sighted folks who got Boulder started on its open space acquisition.
Hundreds of runners in the USA have posted their running routes, charity beneficiaries, in preparation for the International Day of Running held November 8th this year.
The Fleet Feet Sports Fun run often does this 5.6 mile loop up around Wonderland Lake. A great run from downtown, or use it to connect to more trails to the North.
What I always seem to forget is how sticky the trails get along Marshall Mesa Trail, Community Ditch and Dowdy Draw. Its that wonderful soil that just like to build to a nice girth on the bottom of your shoe, making it very awkward to keep a decent stride. I
In the past few days we have had drizzly snow, then warm again and today meets with snow. There was enough of the white stuff to get everyone excited and lead to many great photo opportunities.
