The Greenbelt Plateau and Marshall Mesa Trailheads will be closed from 8 am to 5 pm on Sunday, May 19 for the Superior Morgul Road Race. The trails in the area will still be open. For information about road closures and a map, please view the Superior Morgul Closure Notice; more information on the race can be found on the Superior Morgul website.
Before heading out for a run, be sure to check the trail conditions feed on twitter. A growing community using the hashtag #BoCo_Trails, including many OSMP rangers, update it frequently. Feel free to update the feed with your own report and photos as you visit Boulder County’s Open Space and Mountain Parks.
Trails least likely to be muddy are south facing or along the open plains where the trails tend to be wider and are more exposed to the sunlight. Local trails that tend to dry out quickly can be found at the Eagle Trailhead, Marshall Mesa, Greenbelt Plateau, Bobolink, Teller Farm and the Niwot Trail.
